I forgot to mention that this site was funded by the Gates Foundation. The organization that has put it together is the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. I generally trust this organization and their journal, Educational Leadership has been a good resource for me. One thing that I find interesting is that ASCD is a partner in the CCSS, whereas NCTE, is taking a very Switzerland approach to it, neither supporting nor attacking.
