Sempre più aziende di turismo si lanciano nel turismo collaborativo/collettivo, che da alcuni anni sta riscuotendo enorme successo. Il segmento turismo sta vedendo nascere sempre più start up che si basano sul modello condivisione. Questo accade non solo per gli alloggi ma anche per la ristorazione, i trasporti e altre attività relative a questo segmento. Una miriade di ottime idee, alcune delle quali stanno riscuotendo grande successo. In Italia questo segmento non è purtroppo molto noto, ma fa parte a pieno titolo del mondo del turismo e probabilmente ne diventerà uno degli attori principali. Spiace vedere come tra tutte le aziende citate solo Gnammo risulta essere nata in Italia.
The mobile device is overhauling the travel industry to the extent that within two years the passenger experience will be almost totally digitised. Airport and airline IT company SITA says in its latest report that by 2018, some 60% of passengers will use a mobile device self-service check-in, with 90% of airports offering assisted bag drop services. The mobile evolution will also begin to shift into other elements of the passenger journey as an estimated 52% of carriers will use self-service tools to solve disruption and other problems with a trip. A 40 percentage point chasm separates business travelers who say they prefer to book all travel through one platform and those who actually book on a central or corporate booking tool. A study from travel and expense management provider KDS found 74 percent prefer a single channel, but only 34 percent followed through. The volume of business generated by wineries and museums forming part of the Wine Routes of Spain has reached 49 million euros, representing an increase of 15.20%. These are the findings of the 2015 wine tourism report on visits to wineries associated with the Routes released by the Spanish Association of Wine Cities (ACEVIN). These visits are showing an increase of 5.59% over the previous year, exceeding 2.2 million.
