Sugar and bananas are also another important crop. Colombia supplies about one-sixth of the worlds banana export market. It is also the worlds thirld largest. But Colombia imports wheat, barley, fats, oils, and cocoa.

Colombias law says that there is not an official or state religion but adds that the State is "not atheist or agnostic, nor indifferent to Colombians' religious sentiment."

Juan Manuel Santos is the president of Colombia. He has been the president since August 7, 2010. He previously served as Minister of Foreign Trade, Minister of Finance, and Minister of National Defense. Santos was elected in 2010 to replace the outgoing president, Álvaro Uribe. He  wants to be know as the "Roosevelt of Colombia."
