My starting point in my research.  I did not use anything from this video in my blog post but rather as a starting point.

Many people would assume that the fall of the Roman Empire was due to their military failure but it actually was not. As stated in this article, one of the main reasons why the Roman Empire fell was due to financial inflation. The greed and poor leadership was the downfall of this great empire.

Kelcey Hein's curator insight, April 19, 2014 1:09 AM

This is a basic summary of how Rome fell internal due to economic failures.

vanessa ortiz's curator insight, April 19, 2014 9:49 PM

According to this article, the downfall of Rome was due to economic issues.  This theory could be possible.  I believe that without a strong economy then the kingdom would not prosper or survive.

A 300-year drought may have caused the fall of the great Mediterranean civilizations, including ancient Greece and the Hittite Empire, during the late Bronze Age, new research suggests.

Via David Walp, Hector Chavez Gutierrez
Ricardo Salazar's insight:

This Article is very interesting because it talks about how the drought was the major factor of the fall of the "Ancient Greece. The  information that the Brandon Lee Drake, an archaeologist at the University of New Mexico said was very credible and interesting. For example he said how cities from Greece and Mediterranean were declining at the same period of time when Egypt was being attacked by  marauding sea bandits.
