Humans have brains, where the brain of a social insect colony is the colony itself, coordinated through pheromone trails and other stigmergic signalling. For that reason, it's important to view collective intelligence data from social insects critically when extrapolating to humans. However, if any mechanisms of collective intelligence in non-intelligent organisms augmented through chemical trails can be extrapolated to collective intelligence among humans using language, artifacts, methodology, and training (c.f., Douglas Engelbart), the knowledge could improve the design of augmented social cognition systems.

#Samenwerking is de nieuwe competitie.  Om dit te kunnen, is niet alleen een mindswitch nodig.  Willen is één ding.  Ervan overtuigd zijn dat het jou en de andere(n) effectief méér oplevert (onder welke vorm ook). Dat is het inzicht er al. 

 

Maar hoe pak je dat aan ?  Beginnen bij het bouwen van een vertrouwensrelatie en in dialoog (niet discussie) belangen en behoeftes aftasten, een gemeenschappelijke visie uittekenen en daar een startegie en doelstellingen rond weven.  En concrete afspraken maken hoe je omgaat met conflicten (belangen die botsen), met risico's en pech, ...Dat is een onderneming op zich.

Nog eentje over samenwerken.  Dat de leiders van vandaag en morgen 'samenwerkingsarchitecten' moeten zijn. Het voorbeeld heeft betrekking op een Amerikaans bedrijf (Kellog's en Cisco).  Het interessante is dat men én virtueel én in levende lijve daarover moet praten en samenwerken, met inzet van de digitale middelen die er zijn. Het creëren van focusgroepen bv. over verschillende bedrijven heen, kan evengoed virtueel..;en levert info op aan alle stakeholders.

Samenwerkingsverbanden tussen mensen en /of organisaties lukken alleen als je met de 'juiste' mensen in zee gaat.  En de 'juiste' zijn dan diegenen waarmee je een visie en waarden deelt, de gave om met elkaars temperament om te kunnen en aanvullend te werken  - met de verschillen en vanuit de complementariteit - en belangrijk de drive om naar dezelfde doelstellingen toe te werken en elkaar in alle openheid te kunnen en durven aanspreken op wat er niet goed werkt en wat wel.  Altijd de twee kanten van de medaille belichten.
