Have you seen the NSA's least favorite video? Find out how their spying programs really work.
Fight back NSA spying
This is a must see brought to you by Aaron's Army at Demand Progress, a strong group that helped millions of us stop SOFA which was attempt somewhat of the same manner as what the NSA is up to. SOFA could not happen without search and seizure as well. Demand Progress is proof you can kill or beat a man…but not the values and ideals he is willing to die for if they are the right ones.
Share this broadly because this will certainly take a bigger push back than SOFA or any version of SOFA did or will. The NSA spying was put in place over a decade ago by George W. Bush and has continued strongly and more effectively with new technology and newly formed spy corporations like Stratfor [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stratfor], founded under Bush and flourishing under Obama. If we ever end up with less ethical leaders in industry and government these spy portgrams threaten all strong citizen efforts to unite to push back bad leadership, policy and directions.
Are some of you out there already afraid to go to Anonymous, Occupy or Tea Party links because you fear being watched and we know those groups are being oppressed, tracked and watched? I'm sure any other groups with any major influence are as well. The Tea Party is less oppressed at the moment because they are great cheerleaders for getting regulators off the backs of corporations and push the idea of those that have massive wealth and power should not have those privileges undermined by others who do not have them, which would be nearly everyone else on the planet. If the Tea Party does not stay on that message I’m sure they will feel the oppression and know they have been kept up with for the purpose of shutting them up if they get out of line…. or if they get too far over the edge that they hurt the message (Glenn Beck, where is he now?)
This spying has always happened, but has never been allowed to this degree in this country or any other because no one had such technology in countries willing to overtly oppress. With limitations spying has the good purpose of finding those that can harm others. There is a thin line sometimes between the truthful interpretation of fighting done for the good, often with peaceful and sometimes not so peaceful civil disobedience and for what is right and good to stop something wicked and dangerous.... and between spying to prevent needed changes to the status quo. It is not so easy to tell which is which at times and will be even harder to tell if only a few control the media, the messages and messengers, can spy on everyone else and own everything..
Allowing those in power the privileges of oversight the NSA has with the aid of our industry and corporations that own these tools and services Is wrong. This power has been given by one president and held in place by another as though they have used wartime commander and chief power to survey the enemy… only the enemy they are surveying is all American citizens and the rest of the world…. Not Good!
The leaders of no country or industries, including our own should be allowed such power. I understand now why the top five most major internet management organizations came out this month saying they support world and global oversight of all stakeholders rather than American mainly oversight.
History shows that those who abuse the power they are granted or holds eventually have it stripped from them.
Citizens in our nation with the supporting push of those in many other nations need to straighten this out or loose the respected nation of fair play image and freedoms so many fought and died for since our nation started. Most people of the world want the freedoms Americans have.
If we freely hand over our freedoms in the name of fear of terrorism or other vague threats and security we will give others around the world, little hope of ever building those freedoms in their lands and ensure our children have lost those freedoms as well.
Now is not the time to lay the flag down and raise a white one. After all, terrorism is used to force others to do what a few want and fear those that bully the others... Are we not willingly letting silent terrorism win if we allow our government to stop people from talking and organizing because we are watched and we could be locked up and loose our livelihoods if those watching don’t like what they see?
