Coffee Party Feminists & Lunch with Louden are both parts of the BE THE MEDIA Project by Coffee Party USA | Coffee Party Feminists | Scoop.it

The Coffee Party USA membership believes that money-in-politics is the keystone issue in this republic's democracy today. WOMEN are now targets for special interests that use the influence of their political contributions to impose their religious, economic, and political will. Coffee Party Feminists is a part of the BE THE MEDIA project. It is intended to share evidence of special interest targeting and to report on actions being taken across America to defend and restore women's rights.

The Success of the Voter Fraud Myth

This, in a nutshell, is the story of claims of voting fraud in America — and particularly of voter impersonation fraud, the only kind that voter ID laws can possibly prevent..."

Why Marianne is Going to #VoteAnyway

This is scaring me.

Please fellow Bernie supporters please think this through. Yes we KNOW the DNC cheated in the primaries but it is done. Hillary is the nominee. We have to face it and move on and work to change the system as best we can going forward.

This is what Bernie is telling us. We trusted him because he has always had prophetic like vision on everything his entire life. We cannot vote for a candidate with absolutely no chance of winning thereby allowing two fascists to be elected and making the Supreme Court to become right wing for the next 25 years destroying women's and civil rights and god knows what else.

I get it that the the Democrats were stupid by putting their finger on the scale. I get that they are corrupt but Trump is a narcissistic maniac and if we Bernie supporters vote for Jill Stein ESPECIALLY in a swing state here in Florida things are going to be very bad in this country.

It is going to make me sick to my stomach to vote for Hillary but it has to be done. Once she is elected we start from DAY ONE and put her feet to the fire. It will be a lot of work but it can be done. With Trump as president and the GOP holding both houses.... well... I will make myself sick and vote for Hillary and then start the very hard work. At least it will be possible.

Cheerleaders at Howard University take a knee before a game

Cheerleaders at Howard University take a knee before a game | Coffee Party Feminists | Scoop.it
(CNN) -- Athletes across the country have been sitting or kneeling during the national anthem in recent weeks to protest police brutality and racism. But a football game in Washington, D.C. may mark the first time a squad of cheerleaders has taken a knee during the song.
Coffee Party USA's insight:

In 1970-71 I was a cheerleader at a west coast university. The Black Student Union was protesting the treatment of black students, especially by the athletic department. I was one of the three women on the squad that supported the cause. It came to a head during a halftime protest at a basketball game. Nothing violent, just annoying to those who did not support them. I did not mind giving up half time dancing. The post event reviews were harsh. So the three (all of us white) started wearing black arm bands to games. When the national anthem played, we stood, but turned out backs to the flag. They had the right to peaceful protest. We had the right to peaceful protest. The Viet Nam Vets on campus supported us. Anyone who knew what was really going on supported us. I learned then how easy it is for some people to have an opinion without knowing the facts. Now even more people have a chance to learn what I learned in 1970.

Good voting advice from the League of Women Voters

Good voting advice from the League of Women Voters | Coffee Party Feminists | Scoop.it

HOW TO PICK A CANDIDATE

Step One:  Learn about the specific duties of the office and the skills and personal qualities needed to succeed well in the position.  This principle applies to every elective office, from local officials to the President of the United States.

Step Two:  Evaluate which candidate’s personal characteristics, life experiences, and skills would best enable him or her to carry out the duties of the office. For example:

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • Intelligence
  • Knowledge base that matches duties
  • Social skills – ability to relate to all constituents
  • Temperament/Sound Judgment
  • Integrity/Honesty

LIFE EXPERIENCES:

  • Education
  • Work experience
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Other experiences relevant to office duties

Step Three:   Watch the candidate’s campaign performance and study his or her policy platform and proposals.  While it is likely that no candidate will totally match your views, consider which person would best exercise the duties of the office being sought.  Here are some guidelines:

CAMPAIGN PLATFORM AND PERFORMANCE

  • Major issues identified
  • Explicit, workable policies detailed
  • Only achievable promises made
  • Personal attacks on opponent avoided
  • Truthfulness evidenced
  • Campaign donors revealed
