Twenty-six University of Oklahoma track and field student-athletes have been named to the 2012 Academic All-Big 12 team the conference office announced today. OU had six student-athletes recognized with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. The Sooners had 19 first team selections and seven on the second team.

Seniors Jeremy Sudbury (multidisciplinary studies), Brittany Borman (health and exercise science) and Jessica Engel (health and exercise science), juniors Jacy Bennett (supply chain management) and Kristen Rice (environmental engineering) and redshirt freshman Hilary Krein (finance) were all honored with 4.0 GPAs. Sudbury was one of seven men with a 4.0, while OU had five of the 12 honorees on the women’s side.
