Sports Illustrated.com has re-evaluated the top 2010 recruiting classes and determined that Texas A&M, South Carolina and Alabama's 2010 recruiting classes should be on the top three based on actual on-field production. In their opinion, OU comes in at #9 and they state:
"This group seems to have underachieved only because the bar has been set so absurdly high in the Bob Stoops era. These players only contributed a little as freshmen to a Big 12 title."
Must say the Texas A&M's massive offensive tackle Joeckel is a true star and the likely #1 pick in the upcoming draft. His parents use to work for me and I met him when he was a young boy and he was a large person then. It is obvious that with his determination, skill and his parents positive guidance, he will go far. I only wish OU would have been able to bring him on board. Just saying...
Lastly, I tend to largely agree with their re-evaluation as it pertains to OU and the 2010 recrutiting class. I firmly believe that the 2010 class will be in position to significantly contribute this year and a handful of the players will be star on a talented OU squad. Blake Bell and Aaron Colvin leap off the page at first glance. What do you think about the 2010 class and their performance and potential?
