We need a certain amount of unity and interconnectedness in order to function well as a species.  Anarchy is not a desirable state, anymore than is autocracy and authority.

 

However, this easily could be a useful tool for figuring out where the strong, highly interconnected nodes are (the ones that can bring down a whole system) such that we can work to either decentralize them and mitigate better against being struck by a critical failure in our current system.

 

Domestically, this means that the Federal, State, county and local governments humble themselves in attitude and demeanor relative to the other parts of the society who can act autonimously to the government, such that the power is spread out over a wider pool of people with fewer interconnected pieces.  At the same time, the government can provide the unifying fiber to bind all the parts together and, thus, make a stronger unit together than apart.

 

I think it's a combination of bottom-up centralization, rather than top-down command and control that will produce the better systems.  Imagine the fabric of space-time, or the underlying material to a mosaic.  They simply provide the general, base underlying principles and properties of the rest of the universe (society) that is built on top of them.  They, in turn, are obedient to the lower laws of physics, chemistry, biology and ecology that compose the natural laws of our universe.  Thus, we see a nesting effect, being between the universal society over the domestic society, the domestic society over the government, the government, over the ecology, psychology and biology and biology, psychology and ecology over the more base natural laws of physics and chemistry.

 

The dictatorship originates from the bottom up, not from the top down.  Dictatorships often are overthrown because they frequently run counter to the underlying natural laws of society, ecology and economics which bind their actions.  They make mistakes when they invent things that are really beyond their control and indifferent or counter to their preferences.  Society overthrows the government, and then struggles to establish a new base layer that it can lay comfortably on, owing to the dissonant and competing interests in a society that have different preferences.

 

The key to governmental success in a society, it seems, is being successful at uniting the dissonant parts of society under the a legitimate and acceptable authority, which then has to obey the natural laws and conditions in the universe in order to enable the society to realize its best results.

 

This is kind of a hodge podge view of things, admittedly (ask if you have any questions, please).

 

But it's likely a game changer for policy-makers and strategic defense calculations as far as we organize, resist dangers, mitigate threats and think about our governments' relationship to their societies and to each other.

 

Amazing!
