To help you along, here are five risks you need to take to help you move ahead in your career and enjoy greater fulfilment in your life.

How we adopt advice should improve as we become more self-aware. Our reason for seeking counsel continually changes with heightened self-awareness. Who we look to for advice changes as we grow older, and as we better understand both the perspective of those we surround ourselves with, and their relationship to us. We become more tuned into our ability to compare and contrast what we truly want and how to weigh others’ insights.

It is so important to teach your employees to speak truth to power. If your management team has 10 people and they ALL agree with you ALL of the time, then 9 are redundant. It's the ability to harnass a variety of perspectives that distinguishes a high performing team. Delete the scoop?

Instructional coaches seem to be a new phenomenon in schools. Their job is to help educators become better teachers. They observe teachers teaching, go over instructional data, and model good teaching practices. As much as this may be new for schools, the core of instructional coaching has been around for a long time.
