MOOCs in education - MOOC en la educación | various authors - Comunicar | cMOOC xMOOC review | Scoop.it

The articles discuss the following topics (condensed from their titles)

1 Literature versus Practice

2 Design, Motivation and Performance

3 Pedagogical Components

4 Creation, Development and Implementation

5 Annotations

6 Usability and Satisfaction in Multimedia Annotation Tools

7 Filmic Content as a Teaching Resource

8 The Impact of MOOC Movement in the Scientific Community

9 Evaluation of Digital Didactic Skills

10 Are MOOCs Promising Learning Environments?

The collection illustrates a current trend to collapse online learning into MOOC learning. Although that would not be a wise thing to do as it easily leads to ignoring existing literates, the MOOC movement does give a new impetus to much research. So the collection shows how annotation (5,6) and repositories (7) receive novel attention, next to the age old design and pedagogy questions (1-4, 9, 10). 8 is an interesting paper in that it attempts to measure scholarly impacts of MOOC studies. In short, a welcome contribution to the literature on MOOCs. @pbsloep
