I Provide services for clients to manage and optimize their image on Social Networks.especially on FACEBOOK to begin, then TWITTER, LINKED IN, FOURSQUARE, FLICK'R, SCOOP.IT, and at least G+.This presence represents a major stake today for any organization, profit-seeking or not, and requires a very good expertise of the social networks. It also require a pad of consequent and contacts multi channels, hours spent to stay up the net, and to lead groups or communities. It is thus crucial to become attached to it and, so that it is assured in optimal conditions of success, to outsource it to an expert. At least, it require to be multi lingual. 2013's Complex Social Media Landscape in One Chart

2013's Complex Social Media Landscape in One Chart | COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT - CM2 | Scoop.it

When Brian Solis introduced the first Conversation Prism in 2008, the world was a seemingly simpler place. There were 22 social media categories, each of which had just a handful of brands.

Flash forward to 2013, and the latest Conversation Prism has four additional categories with at least six brands in each. Like other Conversation Prisms, the data visualization attempts to illustrate the array of social media choices available to marketers.

While the 2008 chart looked like a flower, the latest one resembles a kaleidoscope. Solis, a prominent social media marketing expert, says redoing the chart this time around has been instructive. "Things are changing so fast," he says. "We don't even realize [the landscape] is shifting."

The chart also points out that, for many, membership in the social media ecosystem is fleeting. While some brands like Xanga, Kyte and Utterz have disappeared, others that weren't around five years ago — like Path and Banjo — are now among category leaders.

Denis Lundie's curator insight, July 8, 2013 5:23 AM

Social media, as expected, are proliferating and also being embedded in collaboration applications. They can be public or private. Different social media appeal to different segments of the population for different reasons. Individuals can, and do, join different social networks for different interests or relationships in their lives. Finally, they are quite simply applications, with different functionality, will behave differently.

Much has been made in media and education circles of Facebook and Twitter, ranging from the inherent dangers to teaching by means of these, and how to integrate them into education. Policies have been developed around them. This picture should dispel the hype surrounding the most obvious social networks, as unique threats or opportunities, for learning.

IT strategies and policies should not developed around individual applications, especially not social networks. e-Safety education especially, should focus on responsible management of privacy, irrespective the medium. Teaching & learning opportunities should be sought in social media that are built for learning, or embedded in rapidly evolving learning applications.

Why social media actually works for small business [infographic] | COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT - CM2 | Scoop.it

Social media is, at its best, an extension of the human relationship and an opportunity to look customers in the eye (digitally, that is), listen to them and interact person to person. This is the first time in history that small businesses have had the potential to build a massive fan base without a Fortune 500 budget.

The social Web is changing the way consumers discover and interact with businesses online and off and the rapid emergence of social media as a major marketing channel has left many small businesses trying to understand how to find ways to use it effectively. Refer to this infographic to help develop a strategy that suits your business.

With the influence that social media has in the 21st century, it is important to understand the benefits and negative aspects that it can bring upon education. In regards to positive influences, it allows students to be able to contact teachers with ease (not so much in primary education, but at university level), and allows the sharing of information to be easily accessed. However some negative aspects could include harassment and safety or this information being exploited. It's important for students to grow up with knowledge around the use of ICTs and the use of social media but more importantly to use it properly.

How to Measure Content Marketing Success | Infographic

How to Measure Content Marketing Success | Infographic | COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT - CM2 | Scoop.it

This infographic recommends three broad areas to evaluate when assessing content marketing success. With more than 90% of companies now doing some form of content marketing, the logical question is: how do you know if you’re doing it well?

In terms of “what” to measure, this infographic from Brandpoint recommends three broad areas to assess:

  • • Awareness (e.g., search engine rank for target keywords,  social metrics such as likes and followers);
  • • Consideration (longer average visit duration, social shares); and
  • • Conversion (increased conversion rate, growth in newsletter subscriptions).

In terms of “how” to measure success, CMOs utilizing a sophisticated web presence optimization framework for maximizing content marketing results will likely embrace tools for measuring competitive multi-channel marketing metrics—not just “are we making progress?” but also “how are we doing compared to our competitors?”

People are increasingly using mobile devices like tablets and smartphones to browse the Web. The variety of screen sizes, resolutions, and platforms people use to access webpages has given birth to the rise of responsive Web design, where developers create one single site to function properly across all devices instead of producing multiple dedicated site designs to work with particular screen sizes and platforms.

While responsive Web design can be a great way for developers to ensure that their site is compatible with all devices, implementing it instead of targeted Web designs also comes with certain drawbacks. Here is an overview of the changing climate of Web devices, followed by tips for evaluating whether or not you should implement a responsive design.

Early last year we learned that one hour of YouTube is uploaded every second. It was a bracing reminder of just how many people are spending their time online simultaneously.

Created by rewards site Qmee, the infographic "Online In 60 Seconds" is a pie chart that shows off the sheer amount of online activity that takes place every single minute. The amount of YouTube videos uploaded has already increased from January 2012's 60 hours per minute to 72. Additionally, over 1.8 million things are liked on Facebook, and 278 thousand bon mots tweeted. Not depicted in the chart: the amount of work that is going undone while all of these items are being viewed.

Many people are concerned about online privacy. And, conversely, many more are not, freely sharing any and everything on their favorite social networks, paying little attention to their mobile app settings, and happily letting Google track each keyword that they search.

It’s easy to get paranoid about all this stuff, but it does pay to be a little careful when using the internet, particularly when it comes to your personal safety. And while Twitter holds pride of place as one of the safest social networks, by taking the time to educate yourself on the security and privacy settings within your profile, being mindful of which third-party apps you allow access to your account and ensuring that you aren’t making it easy for burglars by constantly telling the world when you’re not at home, you can rest assured that you’re doing everything you can to keep your presence safe on Twitter.
