The Pumpkin Pie of the World will do good early on Pinterest. Other niches will take time to percolate before our imagery shows up in the Bing search results.


Still, a Bing query for is social shares the new seo (images) is a nice way to generate traffic if you own most of the images on page 1 above the fold like these do.

Pour beaucoup, c’est chou vert et vert chou : animer une communauté sur les réseaux sociaux. Et pourtant, les deux métiers sont bien distincts.
 
Question de sémantique ou de terminologie, l’amalgame existe bel et bien. Pour faire court, un Community Manager ou un Social Media Manager pourrait se définir de la même façon: quelqu’un qui connaît à fond les réseaux sociaux et qui est capable de mettre sur pied une communauté et de l’animer. Tout faux, les deux métiers sont biens distincts.

Rappelons qu'on ne doit plus dire community manager mais animateur de communauté.

Et pour Social Media Manager, ce ne serait pas Consultant (Expert, pour les vaniteux) en Réseaux Sociaux ?

Tout-à-fait d'accord. Article scoopé il y a une quinzaine de jours. Et, avec l'apparition des Groupes FB ou LINKED IN, Communautés G+, Listes TWITTER...et j'en passe, cela me paraît vraiment être une correction sémantique très approprié à ce nouveau contexte généré par les principaux réseaux sociaux. Merci Pascal pour ce rappel et ces précisions très pertinentes, bien entendu (pas réellement surpris...). Bonne soirée :) Philippe Nota : même sur SCOOP.IT à présent...pour preuve...Inter activité, pro activité, partages, écoute, courtoisie et bienveillance. Et "carnet d'adresses" (contacts)...bien sûr. Voila...quelques ingrédients qui me paraissent...là, comme cela, d'un "jet" rapide sur mon clavier, êtres des pré requis pour un bon animateur de communautés. Bien sûr, connaissance du web, sens de la stratégie, de l'analyse, charisme et aptitudes à fédérer, maîtrise de langues étrangères...Bon...je m'arrête là. When we started working on Scoop.it, we had a lot of questions on why we even needed tools for content curation. Some were questioning the purpose or the effectiveness of curation, others were convinced it was a valuable practice but challenged the need for a tool. "I don't need a tool to tweet links, right?" or what Julia McCoy refers to as Myth #10 in that great post. 


She does a great job debunking 12 misconceptions which are still quite common about content curation but which luckily are starting to die as content curation delivers more and more results and thanks to educational content like hers.

(From the article): Myth #7: You Aren’t a Thought Leader If You Use Third Party Content. Truthfully, I can see why digital marketers would initially think this. When I first heard of curating content, I thought the same thing. However, I quickly learned that this could not be further from the truth. Curating third party content actually does make you a thought leader for several reasons:

 

You show honesty: you show your audience that sometimes your influencers can write something or present something better than you. You can’t always be the best at everything, and that is OK.You can actually connect with said influencer by mentioning them on Twitter when you link to their article or content piece and get them to potentially follow you, thus building a very valuable connection.You build credibility with that third party source, and possibly attract more third parties that want to share the content that you create.Curating influencer content helps build your brand, which can lead to gaining a new audience that respects your thoughts.

As you can see, curating content does not make you take a backseat. It is an opportunity to build credibility with both your audience and your influencers.

Lead recommendations - LinkedIn's algorithm recommends profiles of people it thinks will be good sales prospects based on your preferences and previous lead search history.

 

CRM integration with Salesforce - The new tool will sync account and contact info with Salesforce's CRM platform, making it less of a competitor and more of a complementary service to Salesforce.

 

Premium search - This is an advanced search tool that allows users to prospect for sales leads more effectively, as well as track the activity of existing leads. This is where LinkedIn's acquisition of Newsle comes in handy. Through Newsle's media tracking technology, LinkedIn gives salespeople real-time updates about what their leads are saying in the press, social media and other online channels.

 

Unlocking profiles - LinkedIn will offer a limited amount of "profile unlocking" each month to Sales Navigator users. This means they can view the profiles and get in touch with people outside their network.

 

Teamlink - A way to get introduced to sales prospects through your own company's network.

Although LinkedIn had previously offered some of these capabilities within its platform, this is the first time it will offer a standalone social selling solution, available for subscription at individual, group and enterprise level pricing.

 

For B2B marketers and salespeople, the Sales Navigator could be a game changer. LinkedIn has effectively cut down the amount of work they have to do in finding potential customers, and also reducing the "cold calling" aspect by giving them rich profile information. Through the platform, sales teams and marketers can search for people by industry, job title, location and expertise, narrowing their focus to only the prospects with the most potential.  Rather than building lists from months of groundwork, they can start populating their CRM systems almost immediately.
