COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT - CM2
I Provide services for clients to manage and optimize their image on Social Networks.especially on FACEBOOK to begin, then TWITTER, LINKED IN, FOURSQUARE, FLICK'R, SCOOP.IT, and at least G+.This presence represents a major stake today for any organization, profit-seeking or not, and requires a very good expertise of the social networks. It also requires a pad of consequent and contacts multi channels, hours spent to stay up the net, and to lead groups or communities. It is thus crucial to become attached to it and, so that it is assured in optimal conditions of success, to outsource it to an expert. At last, it requires to be multi lingual. Concerning me, it's : French, of course, then English, and Spanish. How To Tweet More Than 140 Characters with Dave Winer's Little Pork Chop

How To Tweet More Than 140 Characters with Dave Winer's Little Pork Chop | COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT - CM2 | Scoop.it

Little Pork Chop is a supersimple web app which allows you to post to Twitter longer messages than the typical 140 characters, by intelligently splitting your communication into multiple, numbered tweets.

To use it, you simply go the Little Porkchop page, type in or paste your message without worrying about length, and, instantly, the app previews for you how it would split into multiple tweets. You make your adjustments and you are set to tweet.

A couple of nice additional touches include:

1) all of the following tweets after the first one in a sequence, are sent as replies to the first, so that the whole set can be read as a single thread,

2) the option to send tweets in reverse chronological order so that they will show up in the Twitter stream in the order you wrote them.

Very useful. Easy. Immediate. 9/10

Little Pork Chop is the work of love of Dave Winer.

Free to use.

[Infographic] Evolving SEO tactics: longer posts, Google+ and the tilde

[Infographic] Evolving SEO tactics: longer posts, Google+ and the tilde | COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT - CM2 | Scoop.it

This is an infographic about current SEO thinking with tips and tools to help sites rank better on search engines.

Most people have a general idea of how to optimize their content for search engines. That search engine algorithms are proprietary and evolving inevitably causes different opinions on SEO. Of course there’s another school of thought that minimal keyword research and a green-light from a SEO plugin are enough to publish a piece.

This infographic challenges writers and some of the preconceived notions about SEO. It has a mixture of tips and tools to help you rank better in search...

Great comment MizWalidah. I wold modify one point. Instead of "continually optimizing your meta keywords and tags" I would find ways to ping in fresh content such as User Generated Content from reviews or comments. Once a website I've SEOed is inside of Google's algorithm changing meta values that matter (mostly the page's title) can HURT SEO. I change titles VERY VERY carefully since the first rule of SEO is DO NO DAMAGE. The QDF (Quality Deserves Freshness) movement post Panda and Penguin LOVES it when a page pings, so I love the 1% of visitors who are willing to comment, review or otherwise contribute User Generated Content.

I DON'T play with meta nearly as much as you imply since to do so can look SPAMMY and cause real harm. The most important idea is creating content other people want to share. This is why I love GAMES and CONTESTS especially for bands. High engagement content such as Contests and Games can help with SEO and they can help create a distinct brand all bands need. Appreciate your enthusiasm, but be careful about meta (especially title) changes. Marty

A Printable Guide to Social Media [#Infographic]

A Printable Guide to Social Media [#Infographic] | COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT - CM2 | Scoop.it

Ask anyone to name the most popular social media tools used by students, and it’s a safe bet everybody could name the top two: Facebook and Twitter.

But those are far from the only online applications making inroads. As administrators warm to engaging students through social media, the list of potential resources at their disposal grows longer by the day.

Facebook and Twitter are the obvious choices. But there are other options- Tumblr, YouTube and Google+, to name three.

Of course, if naming the latest social media tools seems tough, learning how to use them all is harder still. In an attempt to shorten the learning curve, Flowtown and Column Five published this Social Media Cheat Sheet for your reference...

Google Media Tools: a new intersection for newsgathering

Google Media Tools: a new intersection for newsgathering | COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT - CM2 | Scoop.it

The New York Times used Google+ Hangouts to interview U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry about Syria’s chemical weapons. The Weather Channel used Google Earth to illustrate the damage of Superstorm Sandy through dramatic before and after satellite images and live YouTube video. And Svenska Dagbladet used the Google Maps API and crowdsourced information from readers to plot disparities in neighborhood mortgage rates, generating a meaningful debate in Sweden.

These are just a few ways journalists around the world are already using the Internet and Google tools to report the news, visualize data and improve their storytelling capabilities. To continue helping journalists report the news in new and compelling ways, we’ve launched Google Media Tools, a centralized hub aimed at empowering journalists of all skill levels with more ways to connect with their audiences and communities.
