It also require a pad of consequent and contacts multi channels, hours spent to stay up the net, and to lead groups or communities. It is thus crucial to become attached to it and, so that it is assured in optimal conditions of success, to outsource it to an expert. At least, it require to be multi lingual. 7 Infographics: Kickstarter Facts, Figures & Statistics | COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT - CM2 | Scoop.it

Crowdfunding is on the rise, and Kickstarter is leading the pack. Not only is the trend increasing but, it I’ve noticed that the word “kickstart” has replaced some of the actual terms used when referring to other areas of crowdfunding.

Kickstarter Stats:

  • over 5 million daily visitors
  • 3700 ongoing projects funded
  • $18 Million of funding
  • Multiple projects cross the $1 million threshold
  • Film and Video, Games, Music, and Technology are the largest Categories

In my latest book on business credit it discusses the value of crowd-funding and Indigogo as they will fund anything unlike Kickstarter that specializes in Media oriented endeavors.

Good insight from Iron Dane Richards. Easier to create a sure takeaway from Indigogo too since they will let campaigns increase the house take and walk away with something where Kickstarter is all or nothing. Either the campaign meets its goals or it gets nothing. 42% of the campaigns on Kickstarter meet their goals and most campaigns are funded at $10,000 or below.

Nonprofits are also looking to crowdfunding -- but it has a dark underbelly as well.

Like YouTube, Facebook, or blogging platforms, it’s almost hard to believe there was an Internet without Kickstarter, which may be the greatest testament to its success.

In 2009, the site generated about $23 million for its projects--an impressive figure by all accounts--but in 2012, Kickstarter pulled in roughly 10 times that, leapfrogging the grant budget of the National Endowment for the Arts. You can find all those facts and many more in this masterful infographic created for Fast Company by Catalogtree...
