The UK trade deficit widens to the most in almost a year in July as exports to nations outside the European Union fall sharply.
Hannah Cowen's insight:

Although there are worrying signs in the economy (trade defecit) the article points to other more positive signs such as increased growth and increased service sector activity. It will be very interesting to see if the calls to scale back BoE actions will have any effect on Carney's promise not to unless unemployment falls.

The hype about this revised growth seems out of proportion when you step back and realise that it is still only 0.7% growth
