Microsoft adopts international standard for cloud privacy

Microsoft adopts international standard for cloud privacy | Cloud Central | Scoop.it

Peter Azzopardi's insight:

Massive improvements in office connectivity, it seems, should ultimately lead to a gradual phasing-out of centralized offices in many industries.

Tech Talk: Free software shows clouds have a silver lining

Tech Talk: Free software shows clouds have a silver lining | Cloud Central | Scoop.it
THE move towards cloud computing – keeping your music, pictures and documents on an online server instead of your own hard disk – is hastening the demise of the kind of software you buy in a shop and bring home in a box.
Peter Azzopardi's insight:

ComputerWorld: First look: OnLive Desktop Plus

ComputerWorld: First look: OnLive Desktop Plus | Cloud Central | Scoop.it
A new app for the streaming game service adds some enhancements -- but unlike its predecessor, it isn't free.

This Plus version isn't free: You'll need to pony up $5 per month for the service (the app itself is still free). But the Plus version does add Internet Explorer 9 to the software suite, along with access to third-party storage sites including Box.net and Dropbox.
