Wiktor Helak's curator insight, January 9, 2015 6:07 PM

Alexandra Minks's curator insight, March 21, 2015 3:07 AM

Cloud computing was a huge success in 2014 so there is no doubt that the technology will continue to move forward and become one of the most important technologies of the next ten years. Cloud computing increases a user's accessibility to their files over a number of devices and also reduces the amount of storage required on hard drives, making it a very useful technology for the future.

It’s surprising that it took Google this long to release this feature. Amazon made auto scaling available on AWS back in 2009 (unlike Google, Amazon prefers to use “auto scaling” over “autoscaling”) and Microsoft launched Azure auto-scaling (with the hyphen) for web sites, cloud services and virtual machines last June.
