How a Terrific Story Of Your Product / Service / Resume Makes It Stand Out

How a Terrific Story Of Your Product / Service / Resume Makes It Stand Out | CIM Academy Marketing | Scoop.it
Everything--sales, earnings, your chances of being hired and your career--is better if there is a good story behind it.

'A story makes everything better'.  Do you use stories in your marketing? What's your story?

Karen Dietz's curator insight, December 9, 2013 10:47 AM

What I really like about this article is the example used to make the point that if you don't have at least one good story to tell about your product or service or yourself then your success is compromised. And who wants that??!!

And the article reads like a story while making its points. So the author is really walking the talk, which I also appreciate.

In addition I very much like the questions posted at the end of the post to help you figure out the story you can tell that will differentiate you.

This is a quick and enjoyable article to read making excellent points. Answer the questions posed and story on!

FDA’s Restrictive Twitter Guidance Undermines Customer Experience for Pharma

FDA’s Restrictive Twitter Guidance Undermines Customer Experience for Pharma | CIM Academy Marketing | Scoop.it

While the “Correction of Misinformation” Guidance seems on the right track, we can’t necessarily say so for theGuidance on “Social Media Platforms with Character Space Limitations.” This is a major concern, and it undermines the customers’ experiences with Pharma on social media platforms. The FDA seems to be sending a clear message that branded promotional activities on certain social media platforms are a big no-no. It’s impossible to include the brand and generic name PLUS a balance of benefits and side effects in 140-character tweets. And while branded promotion in social media should have very clear tie-in to business objectives, this guidance might take a big chunk of that social media messaging off the table…we hope this guidance isn’t a foreshadowing of what’s to come from the FDA when it gets around to addressing mobile guidelines.

50 Ways to Use Social Media

Sung to the tune “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” by Paul Simon

"The problem is all inside your head", FDA said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I'd like to help you in your struggle to be AER free
There must be fifty ways to use social media

FDA said it's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued
But I'll repeat myself, at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to use social media
Fifty ways to use social media

You just Tweet the right way, GSK
Make a new Blog, Janssen-Cilag
You don't need to be coy, Daiichi Sankyo
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Novartis
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop the key(word), Lilly
And get yourself free

Ooo slip out the back door, Bayer
Make a new plan, Allergan
You don't need to be wiser, Pfizer
Just listen to me
Hop on the grid, Orchid
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop the search ad, Gilead
And get yourself free

FDA said it grieves me so to see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do to make you smile again
I said I appreciate that and would you please explain
About the fifty ways

FDA said why don't we both just sleep on it tonight
And I believe in the morning you'll begin to see the light
And then FDA sent me a warning letter
Boy, that didn’t make me feel any better!
Still, there must be fifty ways to use social media
Fifty ways to use social media
