Objective: To test the hypothesis that negative social interaction is associated with increased risk of mild cognitive impairment and rate of cognitive decline. Methods: Participants were 529 older people without cognitive impairment at study onset.

This is an interesting finding---that negative social interactions, were correalated with MCI onset. I wonder if the reverse is going on.  Very early signs of MCI causing the negative social interactions to occur may be how it works.
