People over the age of 65, pregnant or living with chronic long term conditions are much more vulnerable to the effects of Flu and are more likely to develop more serious symptoms. Flu is caused by a virus and so antibiotics cannot be used to treat it. However the Flu jab can help to prevent you catching the flu.
