In Balikpapan, East Kalimantan (Southeast Sulawesi) , 2000 turtle eggs from an endanged turtle species almost extinct have been confiscated and people arrested since trading of turtle eggs is banned.  The eggs were destined to Bau Bau.

East Kalimantan is under scrutiny since conservationists are trying to conserve the forests and wildlife.

June 21, 2013: Workers arrange stockpiled ivory tusks set to be destroyed in Quezon City, Philippines, on June 21. At least five tons of smuggled elephant tusks were destroyed at the Philippine parks and wildlife grounds to raise awareness of the intensified effort to curb wildlife poaching. The Philippines is one of eight countries of priority and concern in the illegal ivory trade, particularly because of the nation's role as a trade route and transit country for elephant tusks originating from Kenya, Uganda and Zambia. ...less (MSN.com)
