I think board members may be untapped fundraisers in many charities. Staff feel uncomfortable engaging their boards in this area and board members may feel unequipped to "fundraise". From my own experience as a board chair, my passion and commitment makes a difference in my circle of influence. The key is to engage in fundraising in a way that makes sense. Social media makes that easier than ever.
