Hopefully soil pollution levels will be released sooner vs. later.  The incentive to discuss ways to improve air quality has gone up significantly since PM2.5 data started being released.   Similar incentives are needed for soil and water.

Transparency of AQI data has created more awareness of the real levels of air pollution in China since the numbers were published in mid-2012.   These policy changes for air pollutants and wastewater emissions will hopefully continue to highlight the regions with the biggest health risks and put pressure on the largest polluters.
