Judgment: The mother was seeking the father's extradition from Nigeria, arguing that the father was in contempt of court, having breached various court orders, in particular, by failing to return their children to this country and by himself fleeing abroad to Nigeria. For that purpose she was seeking a declaration that the contempts of which the father had been found guilty were criminal and not merely civil. She put her case on two bases: the contempts, she said, (i) related to wards of court and (ii) involved interference with the administration of justice. The application was dismissed.
