There are those who do their jobs as Social Workers and all such that go above and beyond their job requirements to help the children, families and even the communities and WE salute ,appreciate and Thank you because WE know that your work efforts are made hard and trouble some by others in your same line of work that careless about how their job performance or the lack there of effects the lives of others just as long as they get a pay check and then to a job Is hard to find and some really don't have much of a choice per their Supervisors because to keep their job they have to do some of the grimy courtesy/favor called in and more things to child(ren) and their families because its assigned as their job to do so. Let's not get it twisted there are some that just do it for kicks, they love to see others in hurt and pain inflicted by them. No matter WE SALUTE the Social Workers that do their job with the children and families in mind not what you can gain for your self. Just to say you are APPRECIATED and THANK YOU  for making a difference!

Paying to reform how the state cares for abused children: Feds say state missing out on big pot of money | The Connecticut Mirror

Paying to reform how the state cares for abused children: Feds say state missing out on big pot of money | The Connecticut Mirror | Child Welfare - Child Abuse: Protecting Our Children | Scoop.it

Connecticut has made significant strides in reducing the number of abused and neglected children in foster care, but its achievement is costing it millions of dollars in federal aid.

Over the last five years, the state’s Department of Children and Families has reduced the number of children in state custody by 20 percent, officials say, bringing the number to a historic low.

This new approach has won approval from child advocates, who prefer keeping families intact whenever possible. But it has cost the state about $49 million in reimbursements during that time.

They cutting cost but not loss, seeing that money can be allocated to do things it was not received to do by government creating a catch 21 or already having one in place and  the public not know but those i n authority do. When the Foster Care children, young adults are kicked out of the system do they get reperation from the government like 40 acres and a mule but in today's living standards or do they get the door opened by the government and a swift kick In the buttocks and told to get to steppin. Go out in the world and do something no more gover nment assistance for you.
