Xuan Tay Yu's curator insight,

This is my insight on this article. Children have an unnoticeable importance in today's society, and it is very sad to see so many of them suffering in poverty. It is however very touching to see influential characters taking action. I feel everyone should do their part in helping these children. They must feel very miserable living in the way they are now, and may feel hopeless. If we help one another, the world might not be split apart, one part is afflence, the other poverty.

This is my insight. Children plays an important role in the 21st century. But, unfortunately, many of them are living in poverty. Child poverty could lead to family poverty. Child poverty has been quite a big issue. A child poverty approach puts the child at the centre of all policy measures and acknowledges the child as a rights bearer with rights that extend beyond the family. There are many ways to help them. Some people willingly help these children but some just dont bother. I think if humans work together and help each other, we could end poverty.

From this, i can infer some of the causes of child poverty and the impact that it has on all of us. It is a serious issue and it is constantly rising. Some of the reasons are due to the lack of income of the family, when this happens, children in poverty is likely to have access to nutrition and early-childhood education. This is an important point as this will stunt development at a time when their brains should be forming the foundation. I feel very sad after reading this scoop as there are many children living in poverty and education is very important to everyone of us. I hope more people will help to donate food supplies or even help them out. I think that even a small little help from any one of us will make a difference in their life. Delete the scoop?
