Larry Mayer takes a look at the Bears' offseason moves so far and looks ahead to important upcoming dates for the Bears.   (Larry Mayer takes a look at the #Bears' offseason moves so far and what's ahead on 'Bears Update'.
Dale Saini's insight:

I believe that general manager Phil Emery made some great moves on improving the defensive line this year. If the Bears could add Aaron Donald with the 14 pick and more bigger one-tech defensive tackle later in the draft the Bears defensive line could be much improved compared to last year. If the d-line stays healthy the Bears could have incredible depth: with Jared Allen, Lamar Houston, Willie Young, Israel Idonije, David Bass, and Cornelius Washington at defensive end. And if they draft Donald, they would have Donald, Stephen Paea, Nate Collins, and Jay Ratliff playing defensive tackle.

Dale Saini's insight:

I believe the Kyle Fuller would be a great pick up if Aaron Donald was already selected by the time the Bears' pick. But, I would not select Fuller with the 14th pick overall. I would trade back, and aquire more picks in one of the deepest drafts of all time, and then select Fuller later in the first round

I think Donald with be the best option for the Bears in this situation to improve their defensive line. He extremely disruptive, and can complement Jared Allen, Lamar Houston, Willie Young, Jay Ratliff, Stephan Paea, Willie Young, and Israel Idonije very well.

2014 NFL Draft: De'Anthony Thomas to visit Chicago Bears - FanSided

2014 NFL Draft: De'Anthony Thomas to visit Chicago Bears - FanSided | Chicago Bears Offseason | Scoop.it
The Chicago Bears are looking to find a backup to workhorse running back Matt Forte following the offseason release of Michael Bush and are expected to consider drafting a back in the middle portion of the 2014 NFL draft, ...
Dale Saini's insight:

If the Bears could select De'Anthony Thomas in the mid to late rounds that would be a great selection. He is undersized player but extremely explosive. Every time he touches the ball he is a threat to take it to the house. He would complement the other players in the offense very well.

Which NFL draft prospects have the Bears been meeting with?
Windy City Gridiron
As the NFL Draft approaches the rumor mill gets in full swing. Which teams have private workouts with which players, whom did they meet with at the Combine?
Dale Saini's insight:

Out of the prospects that have been reported that meet with the Bears, the one the interest me the most besides Aaron Donald, is Tajh Boyd QB out of Clemson. Boyd has a strong arm, athlecism, and great leadership qualities. I believe he could be a solid pick up for the Bears in the late rounds. Under head coach Marc Trestman, Boyd could improve  and develop his throwing mechanics.

A recently announced injury to Chris Conte leaves the Bears even thinner at the safety spot, forcing depth-reinforcement MD Jennings to be heavily featured.

In this mock draft, since Aaron Donald was already selected by the Lions tenth overall, I believe Ha- Ha Clinton Dix would be the next person the Bears should draft, especially because Conte will be injured for a while. But I would also consider defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan out of Florida State who is the a solid run stuffing defensive tackle
