There is no holiday for New Zealand Olympic equestrian eventer Caroline Powell. She has already been competing between her Olympic event and the closing ceremony.

@FranJurga writes: Caroline will fly out to New Zealand to celebrate with her team mates this weekend. She spoke to ITV and the result is a terrific four-minute video!

Caroline's horse Lenamore was the oldest horse at the competition, but you'd never know it to look at him. Her career is sure to receive a boost from the Olympic success.

Olympic Eventing:Team GB veteran Mary King says her sixth Games as exciting as her first

Olympic Eventing:Team GB veteran Mary King says her sixth Games as exciting as her first | Cheval et sport | Scoop.it

"At an age when most Olympians would be contemplating an involvement in the London Games that did not extend beyond a little light lifting in the corporate hospitality marquees, Mary King is preparing for her sixth successive Olympics."

@FranJurga writes: She's my hero! Every adult rider in the world will be cheering for Mary King in the eventing. She's a keen competitor and she had the right attitude.

This article in the Telegraph gives a good introduction to this experienced heroine who not only won the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event last year--she was second, as well!

Cheers, Mary!
