Give 150% at all times! - I know you get tired and worn out but without the dedication and heart, you won't get anywhere especially when it comes to stunting!

Hit it gym! - Being in shape and strong is a huge part of cheerleading! You should always try to workout a little each day! Go to the gym, go for a run, hit the weightroom after school, buy some weights and use them at home, do push ups, pull ups, ab workouts etc. Anything to gain muscle! It will only help you in the long run!

NO JEWELRY! - Ladies as much as we all love to wear jewelry, you CANNOT wear it while cheering! It is a great way to get injured! Imagine an earring getting pulled out by your flyer or your belly ring! OUCH!! Make sure to take out before you go to practice!

While cheerleading is meant to support an athletic team, its intense competitions at the high school and collegiate levels have created a whole new dynamic, including increased risk for injury."

Concussions in cheerleading happen less with progressions - Nfinity

Concussions in cheerleading happen less with progressions - Nfinity | Cheerleading Safety | Scoop.it

There are lower level stunting that should be done on all stunt groups when a new flyer comes in, actually when any change to the group is made. Until you are at an elite level, any change to a group must make the group take a series of progressions and work up to the level of stunting you require.
