Give 150% at all times! - I know you get tired and worn out but without the dedication and heart, you won't get anywhere especially when it comes to stunting!

Hit it gym! - Being in shape and strong is a huge part of cheerleading! You should always try to workout a little each day! Go to the gym, go for a run, hit the weightroom after school, buy some weights and use them at home, do push ups, pull ups, ab workouts etc. Anything to gain muscle! It will only help you in the long run!

NO JEWELRY! - Ladies as much as we all love to wear jewelry, you CANNOT wear it while cheering! It is a great way to get injured! Imagine an earring getting pulled out by your flyer or your belly ring! OUCH!! Make sure to take out before you go to practice!

This is another article describing how to do a back handspring. I do think the stepd in doing a back handspring they give are very useful but the pictures are a little off. When you sit to do your back handspring you should not lean forward or drop your chest, you should let your shoulders fall back while you sit. By dropping your chest you are shortening your back handspring. Also the picture of the girl doing s back handspring is a little off, your legs should be straight and your body long. This is also from dropping your chest. I do think the words in this article are useful but the pictures are misleading and will lead to bad habits if used as a tool to get a back handspring.

This is something I'd love to accomplish for next cheer season.
