Insights: Colour: from heraldry to branding - CBA, designing brands with heart | Charliban Worldwide | Scoop.it
Colour play a determining role today as in the past. To understand how the colour influences brands and products perception a specific training is necessary.
Charles-Louis Mazerolles's insight:
Heraldry can be considered one of the oldest forms of branding: a coat of arms enables us to identify a precise dynasty, city or kingdom through the simple use of shapes, symbols and colours.

SupermarketGuru - Google Gets Into Food Trends | Charliban Worldwide | Scoop.it

It appears that Google, that now accounts for over 3.5 billion food-related searches each day has put their Food & Beverage team together with their Trends team in order to not only mine that rich resource of data, but hopefully come up with “what’s next.”

Charles-Louis Mazerolles's insight:
Google’s 2016 Food Trends report is an interesting read, but should be taken as just one tool along with a dozen or so other influences before we decide to restock our supermarket shelves.

SupermarketGuru - What Billionaires Should Do When Not Running For President | Charliban Worldwide | Scoop.it

I love this story. EasyJet’s founder, Stelios Haji-Ioannou has opened a grocery store in West London, the area that has the highest proportion of people from non-white backgrounds and with the highest percentage of residents not born in the UK. His intention is to serve just the poorest neighborhoods in the UK. Similar to the US effort to put supermarkets in food deserts – but there is one major difference. It is not a typical supermarket with typical food prices. It’s not about availability, its about price.

Charles-Louis Mazerolles's insight:
The store is called easyFoodstore and carries the slogan “no expensive brands, just food honestly priced” and sells non-name branded foods at a fixed price.

SupermarketGuru - Local Food Is Here To Stay, Seriously | Charliban Worldwide | Scoop.it

Local has staying power to remain as one of the leading trends in food and in our supermarkets. And although you may wonder just how certain parts of the country could produce local foods, UC Merced professor Elliot Campbell says, "Most areas of the country could feed between 80 percent and 100 percent of their populations with food grown or raised within 50 miles.

Charles-Louis Mazerolles's insight:

But at the same time, when asked what keeps him up at night worrying? His answer is simple:“Agriculture is a big driver of climate change; it contributes to the emission of green house gasses in a huge way. And simultaneously, agriculture will suffer the consequences of climate change. We will have a harder time providing food for the world in the future. The solution? Not so simple.
