Rattan stems are a vine that may develop to be of 100s of metres in length, and it grows up to three feet in an afternoon. It's one of the most fastest growing shrubs of the tropical forest. Distinct from bamboo which is hollow and can't be bent, rattan cane is solid within, presenting the canes flexibility whilst still being very strong and durable. It is so sturdy it's even used in house and bridge development. Rattan cane additionally is not prone to cracking helping to make it perfectly fitted to outdoor furniture making.

The word rattan cane comes from the Asian word 'rotan' this means that 'rats rattan cane'. The Malayan language is the national terminology of Indonesia.

Registering a charity includes completing several Charity Commission papers and going through a test by the application team at the Commission. This appears basic but making sure that good objectives are acknowledged charitable actions is probably the most complicated part of setting up a charity.
