For years wine glasses have been engraved with monograms, commemorative date and names, such as weddings and anniversaries and more recently corporate logos. Today wine glasses are also sand blast engraved or ‘etched’ with artwork as well as text and monograms, but can be imprinted with ink and is a less expensive method of decoration, This process has improved a lot over the past several years and we actually receive quite a few calls from clients that have a satin imprinted wine glass in their hands from an event they attended and think it is engraved. It is important to understand the differences between these two methods and when to use them for your wine glasses.
