Jewel Graham's insight:

I found this helpful before applying for the FAFSA application because it tells you what they have improved or changed on the FAFSA form. Complete the FAFSA soon, the quicker the better!

CSINowedu's curator insight, January 10, 2014 6:37 AM

The Department of Education changed the wording of the form in some areas to utilize inclusive terms. Instead of specifying "father/stepfather" for one parent and "mother/stepmother" for the second, the form will now ask for "Parent 1 (father/mother/stepparent)" and "Parent 2 (father/mother/stepparent)."

I thought important all that I need to know about financial aid  and the government level

Paula Bersabe's curator insight, August 10, 2014 3:44 PM

I've ask counselors both from Everett High and EvCC about FAFSA but both school gave me vague answers about it, saying it's due first thing in New Year's day. But when I went to visit U of W Seattle, I asked one of the financial counselor and pointed out where to find it on their website. When I did, it made me more sense than ever! You can send from their site to 8 more colleges and the earlier you send it in, the better!

I remember doing a lot of Career Tests in middle school and even in high school, but not one test came near of the subject of me being a Computer Engineer. Even though they say this is only estimating your career paths, some of their jobs aren't even close to what students would actually pick. I remember doing these tests, trying to get assurance if being a Computer Engineer is totally for me, but it didn't.

"Search for scholarships with our free scholarship matching service, get student financial aid and find money to pay for college at Fastweb." This website matched me with tons of scholarships after filling out a bio about me and my achievements in highschool. THis website specifically matched me up to the following scholarships I actually applied for: Alert Scholarship, Prowler No Essay Scholarship, and the Burger King Scholarship. This website helped alot.

Michelle F's curator insight, April 16, 2013 11:04 PM

My thoughts: With a name like "Fastweb" I automatically assumed this website was a scam. It turns out it's not! The only downside to Fastweb is that you have to make an account. By giving Fastweb information that follows internet safety guidlines, it will match you up with scholarships that you already qualify for. Fastweb is a definite time saver.

mitch fajardo's curator insight, November 12, 2014 4:52 PM

Fastweb is easy to use which made finding 2 scholarships easy. That said, others should use it because the popular scholarships are definitely worth filling out. Websites like this, in my opinion, are needed because the more convenient it is for students to fill out the scholarships, the more they will fill out, therefore, adding positivity towards their education and future.
