This powerpoint does a pretty useful comparison of the mechanisms, actions, adverse reactions and relative strengths and weaknesses of NSAIDs compared to Steroids. It also answers Dr Coffey's in lecture question as to why steroids are more effective than NSAIDs.

Good animation of the inflammatory response. The website also has further information on the inflammatory and healing process with good, relevant  histology slides too.

Anne Marie Cunningham's curator insight, January 20, 2014 7:23 PM

The animation looks just at what happens to neutrophils in inflammation. Good compliment to the other animation from McGraw-Hill. There is a wealth of material on this site so worth checking out.
