Tougher 'core standards' for Realtor associations could fuel mergers

Tougher 'core standards' for Realtor associations could fuel mergers | CARAVAN & WEEKLY MAR NEWS | Scoop.it
The National Association of Realtors is considering tougher core standards that would "raise the bar" for Realtor associations to ensure that even the smallest is capable of enforcing the Realtor Code of Ethics, playing a political advocacy role, and operating a website promoting member programs, products and services. Pressure to comply will likely mean that there will be some 1,000 associations in 10 years, rather than 1,400, according to David Phillips, CEO of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors.
