Consult your tax preparer to make sure you take full advantage of the tax breaks afforded to home owners. For those of you who bought homes in 2013 you can take your HUD1 statement (you can find this in your copies of closing papers) to your tax preparer so she can pick up additional items that may be tax deductible.

FHA loan has a 3% Downpayment assistance (you only pay .5% out of pocket). conventional loan has a 2% Downpayment assistance (you pay 1% out of pocket). FHA and USDA loans are 100% financing. Call your mortgage professional for program details and to pre-qualify.

Consult with your tax preparer for property-related items that are tax deductible. If you bought a home in 2013 you need to take your HUD1 statement (copy in your closing files) to your tax preparer for additional items paid at closing that may be tax deductible.
