On top of the already existing therapys to treat cancer, there are also some alternative options too. Some include detox therapy, electrotheraoy, and psychological therapy. What most of these options do is change habits of your life or treat you using more natural and organic methods that do not have as big of a risk of side effects.

Cancer - PubMed Health

Cancer - PubMed Health | Cancer Sucks Project | Scoop.it
Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body. Cancerous cells are also called malignant cells.
Lindsey ODonnell's insight:

Cancer can grow out of any normal cells in the body. Then the normal cells multiply when the body needsto use them, and die when the body no longer needs them. Cancer can appear to occur when the growth of cells in the body is out of control and cells divide too quickly. However, it can also occur when cells forget how to die and there are many different kinds of cancer. Cancer can develop in almost any organ or tissue, such as the lung, colon, breast, skin, bones, or nerve tissue.

Lindsey ODonnell's comment, February 21, 2013 8:53 AM
Cancer treatments such as chemotherapy are extremely intense and can sometimes cause adverse effects on the human body during or long after the chemotherapy is received. What chemotherapy is, is when a toxic material is inserted into the human body and this material kills cancer cells as well as healthy cells too. Since there are healthy cells all through the body, recovery course soon after treatment.
