Canadian Political Satire: The Obert Report Episode 1: Harper's NDP Hitler Comment

Canadian Political Satire: The Obert Report Episode 1: Harper's NDP Hitler Comment | The Canadian Progressive | News and Opinion | Scoop.it

Welcome to Episode 1 of the Obert Report, a future satirical online talk show dissecting #Canadian politics, institutions, values and figures. This inaugural episode is a commentary on an outrageous comment made by Prime Minister Stephen Harper recently during a debate in Parliament. Responding to an Opposition question on Canada’s future plans for the war in Afghanistan, Harper said: “The leader of the NDP, in 1939, did not even want to support war against Hitler.” The comment prompted the creation of a new Twitter hash tag, the #HarperHistory. The episode features the funniest twenty six tweets by Canadians. Enjoy. Source: Canadian Progressive World (http://s.tt/1fBri)
