Camp White Pine is a summer camp situated in the Haliburton Highlands of Canada’s central Ontario. The scenery is breath taking, with small lakes, exposed rocks and forestry. The camp is situated on a 1600 acre site. Children, aged seven to sixteen, from all over the world converge on Camp White Pine.
Camp White Pine was started in 1956 by Joe Kronick. Today, it is managed by Joe’s son, Adam and his wife. Campers live in one of six sections that function as mini camps. Each section has it’s own supervisor. The small sections allow supervisors to provide personalized attention and concern, while the larger camp setting is big enough to provide a variety of activities and experiences.
With staff coming from countries as diverse as Mexico, Japan, South America, the United States and Canada, camp goers benefit from the range of experience and backgrounds provided. The camp provides an impressive range of activities, from water-front and adventure sports to creative arts such as drama and pottery. Every activity is tailored to the skill level and confidence of the camp goer. Staff also make good use of the surrounding attractions, with regular trips outside of the camp grounds.
Camp White Pine employ expert waterskiing instructors, prepared to teach beginners as well as experienced skiiers. All ski boats feature a boom, to make it easier to learn. Wakeboarding has also been introduced to Camp White Pine recently. They also offer a swim program featuring Red Cross and Royal Life Saving accredited instruction to all campers.
