Project REINU Taps Into UA's Extension Expertise | UANews

Last week, nearly 60 representatives from 19 Mexican universities made a visit to the Tucson Village Farm, located on the University of Arizona's Campus Agricultural Center along north Campbell Avenue. They were there for more than enjoying the sunshine and tasting the fresh farm produce. They participated in a UA-hosted training for a project to establish a new extension network in Mexico.

UA Leads Effort to Build Mexican Extension | UANews | CALS in the News | Scoop.it
As the state's only land-grant institution, the University of Arizona has led outreach efforts through its Cooperative Extension offices across Arizona. Now the UA is assisting efforts to build a similar network south of the border. The UA-led project, announced at Thursday's meeting of the Arizona Board of Regents, is called the Red de Extensión e Innovación Nacional Universitaria, also known as project REINU. The name translates to the National University Extension and Innovation Network.
