A recent study I ran across suggests that gals' apartments are more germ laden than fellows' apartments. This made me feel particularly virtuous, until I read further: gals' apartments are worse because they clean them more often. It seems that cleaning, using ineffective methods, helps spread the little critters around. Gals clean more, so spread the germs more. Contaminated cleaning cloths and wet mops are the culprits.
