You might think that states with the heaviest drinking rates also have the highest rates of fatal car accidents. But, that's not the case. Via Stephanie Winans

Interesting study comparing alcohol consumption with fatal car accidents nationwide. It shows that states with a higher rate of alcohol consumption do not necessarily have higher fatal car accident claims than states with lower rates of consumption. Driving under the influence of alcohol is one of the leading causing of auto accidnets causing injuries and fatalities in Los Angeles County every year. Good to see these "saturation" DUI checkpoints netting so many arrests to deter this type of conduct.
