Much of what we know about learning, or think we know about learning, has been worked and re-worked by the likes of John Dewey, Hans-Georg Gadamer, Alfred North Whitehead, Maria Montessori, etc. @ivon_ehd1

What is the unique idea in Connectivism? « #Connectivism by George Siemens

"Connectivism is the application of network principles to define both knowledge and the process of learning. Knowledge is defined as a particular pattern of relationships and learning is defined as the creation of new connections and patterns as well as the ability to maneuver around existing networks/patterns."

Comment: a (very) old post on the nature of connectivism, that I stumbled upon.  It is useful not in that it delineates connectivism very precisely, although I like the above definion, but in that it traces its historical roots and list its distinctive characteristics (peter sloep)

I like that it gives a comparison of behaviorism, cognitism and constructivism (even though we aren't looking at that school) and it also gives information about the teachers, learner and techniques, etc.

This article explains the differences between behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism. It shows differences in each school's teachers, learners, types of materials, techniques, and factors.

I don't get as to why they all can share these things. The arrows indicate that the things relate to each other.
