Meal Timing Debunked – Myth Or Fact? - NUTRITION

Meal Timing Debunked – Myth Or Fact? - NUTRITION | CAC Senior HPE | Scoop.it
A common topic of discussion surrounding the fitness world is that of meal frequency and timing – but is gaining unwanted weight associated with the time of day you eat at?

AlGonzalezinfo's curator insight, May 13, 2013 10:22 PM

Great post.  From the article:

However, I won’t entirely disagree with the concept of meal timing to promote various benefits throughout the entirety of the day; such as:

→ Obviously, a feeling of less hunger – if you’re eating more frequently, you’re less likely to feel hungry throughout the day, therefore more energized and focused on your daily tasks and less agitated

→ Decreases appetite/cravings – particularly important for those adhering to a strict diet – following your meal timing plan will ensure that you are calming those urges to have a quick processed snack

→ Ensuring you have complex carbohydrates an hour or so before your workout will enable you to sustain energy throughout it’s entirety

Tigers report finds AFL has dropped the ball on affirmative action - FIGUEROAS FRAMEWORK (Gender Equity - Structural Level) | CAC Senior HPE | Scoop.it

"Women working in the AFL say the industry's pervading "blokey culture" stunts their progress, and question whether the game's leaders genuinely want to fix the problems.

These are among the preliminary findings from a pioneering three-year affirmative action plan initiated by the Richmond Football Club, with backing from the Australian Sports Commission and AFL"

Entitled to dance: boys in schools - FIGUEROAS FRAMEWORK | CAC Senior HPE | Scoop.it

Schools inevitably reflect the society in which they are placed, frequently echoing the prejudices as well as the aspirations of the adult world. Dance in British schools is very similar to dance in British society: where fewer boys and men participate in dance, especially at a professional level, than girls and women. Reasons are complex but are mainly due to negative perceptions that exist within our society concerning boys dancing.
