Citilab is an experimental centre for the active dissemination of technological culture; a pioneering experience for Europe aiming to demonstrate the reach of innovative and creative capacity from adequately equipped citizens. A citizens’ laboratory in which researchers, entrepreneurs, students and companies interact in a real environment, experiment and collaborate on common projects, sharing what they do and do not know jointly.The final objective of Citilab is to throw into the mix the innovative capacity of people in order for them not to be limited to using technology as a simple tool, rather that they utilize it to improve concrete aspects of their daily lives or in order to transform their city, their environment. Citilab is then, the first digital citizens’ laboratory in the whole of Europe, inspired by many diverse models of innovation.
