BYOD: The Benefits of Embracing Diversity

BYOD: The Benefits of Embracing Diversity | BYOD | Scoop.it

This is very interesting! I've never considered this idea! I would like to see some studies that prove this article right, however. I wonder why this is encouraged in most schools? I would love to hear more about this!

Ruth Obadia's curator insight, September 13, 2013 2:33 AM

Instead of isolating themselves with their devices, students lean in and collaborate using the devices available. The trick is to design learning opportunities that encourage conversation and collaboration. This approach is more social and engaging for students anyway and allows teachers to leverage the collective intelligence in the room.

robyns tut's curator insight, September 16, 2013 4:12 PM

I think this is a great idea. We truly are moving into an era where technology is taking over and transforming our lives. The way we work and communicate are totally technological based. Teachers need to embrace this new era of technology, we are moving forward and they need to get with it or they will fall behind.
