This is a first Japanese philosophy magazine for general public, which young philosophers collaborated to write accessible articles especially to high school students. Readers can listen to interview podcasts from philosophy-zoo.com

As a special issue in this volume, the editorial team interviewed Japanese philosophers and science communicators about the confusion between science and life since Japan, which has the third highest number of nuclear power plants in the world, was hit by a Tsunami and earthquake in 11 March 2011.

Twentieth Century history is one of the most controversial subjects in the Japanese school curriculum, reports Mariko Oi.
アーサー's insight:

"Our system has been creating young people who get annoyed by all the complaints that China and South Korea make about war atrocities because they are not taught what they are complaining about," she said.
Without knowing these debates, it is extremely difficult to grasp why recent territorial disputes with China or South Korea cause such an emotional reaction among our neighbours.

「母」を通じてすべての人を哲学へ誘う日:UTCPでは4月から「P4E(Philosophy for Everyone)」を独立プロジェクトとして本格始動。その最初のテーマが「母」です――私たちはみな、自らの生の始まりを「母」に負っています。そして母たちは子を産み育てることで自分を社会へと開き、過去と未来をつなぎます。だから「母なるもの」をめぐり、母たちとともに語ることで、自分がこの世で生きることについて多く発見ができるでしょう。今回のファシリテーターは、関西を中心に哲学カフェを展開してきたカフェフィロの副代表で、育児サークルでの哲学対話を続けてきた松川絵里さんです。
